AG Biden asks for $100K for Wilm. crimes prosecutor
Attorney General Beau Biden is asking for more prosecutors to help respond to Wilmington's alarmingly high crime rate.
He's seeking 100-thousand-dollars for a prosecutor to focus solely on the growing number of shootings in the City of Wilmington.
In his presentation before the office of Management and Budget, Biden is also asking for more than 200-thousand-dollars for a prosecutor and investigator for New Castle County's homicide unit.
In addition crime fighting requests, Biden is seeking 200-thousand-dollars for annual case management, 100-thousand-dollars to replace old computers, and nearly one-million-dollars to grant part-timers full-time status and for pass-through funding for statewide domestic violence shelters.
