Once Thanksgiving is over, the holiday shopping season will be in full swing. Smack dab in the middle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday, and Congressman John Carney says there's no better time to shop local.
"A large proportion of a small business' receipts happen over the holiday season," says Congressman John Carney.

Carney chose the perfect place to make this pitch - bustling Main Street in downtown Newark, but he says all of Delaware will feel the effects, if you buy local. And 'tis the season.
"This Saturday's a really important day for the economy, and our state, in our county, in the City of Newark, As people go out to do their Christmas shopping, their holiday shopping think about buying local, buying American, and shopping at small businesses," says Carney.
