Troopers ID woman hit by SUV and killed on Concord Pike

A 37-year-old Townsend woman is dead after being hit by a car on Concord Pike in Wilmington.
Police say Mary Jane Stebner was crossing Route 202 north of Murphy Road at about 8 p.m. Thursday when she was struck by a Jeep Cherokee.
Police say Stebner was wearing dark clothing. She was taken to Christiana Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Jeep wasn't charged.
Concord Pike was closed for about an hour-and-a-half after the crash.
