State Police say a truck fire shut down part of I-495 for about 10 hours Monday, snarling traffic.
Police say the truck's cargo of cardboard caught fire on 495 northbound near Terminal Avenue around 2:10am Monday.
Firefighters were able to douse the flames, but it took about 10 hours to remove debris from the road and tow the trailer from the scene.
No one was hurt, but 495 northbound was closed at the North DuPont Highway interchange till shortly after noon.
