Winterthur finds missing snuff box
By Associated Press

A Delaware museum says a centuries-old silver snuff box that was reported missing last month has been found by a museum employee.

Officials at the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library said Monday that the heart-shaped snuff box was found by an alert staff member in a place where it had never been exhibited.

Museum officials said investigations by the State Police and Winterthur staff into how the item was relocated continue.

The snuff box, made in the mid-1700s New York silversmith Barent Ten Eyck, was reported missing after a recent inventory.
