VIDEO: Highlights of William Penn vs Brandywine

William Penn controlled the second quarter to open up a 15 point halftime lead on their way to a 56-47 road victory at Brandywine Thursday night.

The game was even at 14 entering the second quarter, but William Penn's defense forced mistakes from the youthful Bulldogs, and Jasalyn Davis-Denkins put in several of her team-high 29 points in the deciding stanza.

Brandywine attempted to make a game of it in the second half, cutting the deficit to 46-37 after three quarters, and then opened on a 5-0 run following an Alexa Stirparo offensive rebound, basket, and free throw, but they could not sustain the ralley.

William Penn's (3-2) deciding 6-0 spurt included baskets by Jasalyn and Jessica Davis-Denkins along with Alexis Manlove as they picked up their second conference victory of the season.

Memuna Turay also scored 29 points for Brandywine, who have now lost 2 in a row following a 6-0 start.
