A Selbyville man is under arrest after the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement found illegal gambling machines in a downstate restaurant.

Acting on a tip, agents took part in an undercover investigation at the Slainte Restaurant and Pub.

Agents found two electronic gambling machines mounted on a wall that were turned on only for certain customers.

The agents witnessed wagers being placed on football games and payouts being made to a patron.

Agents seized the two gambling machines and various other gambling paraphernalia and arrested the restaurant manager, Declan McNamee, who turned himself in.

He's charged with several illegal gambling counts and was released to his attorney.
