Police say an Elsmere woman has been arrested in connection with a recent robbery near Trolley Square.

Police say Dionne Hines was one of two suspects who jumped out of a van and confronted three people walking on the 1800 Block of W. 14th St. around 7 p.m. last Friday.

Police say one of the suspects threw a woman to the ground and took her purse and the other punched a male victim in the face. Both suspects fled in the van, which was driven by a third suspect.

Hines was arrested at her home on the 100 block of Maryland Avenue Wednesday morning, where police say they found evidence linking her to the robbery.

She faces charges including robbery and conspiracy and is being held at the Wilmington Police department pending arraignment.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and a second suspect has been identified.
