New Delaware football coach Dave Brock will retain former quarterback Brian Ginn on his coaching staff according to a statement released by the school Friday.

Ginn, captain of the 1999 Delaware team, has been on the UD staff since serving as a graduate assistant in 2000. He spent 2012 working as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator.

In the statement Brock said, "After talking with Brian and with some other coaches who I know and trust, this was a no-brainer. He has played a big role in so many of the great moments in Delaware football history and he is a perfect fit for the staff we are building. I was impressed with Brian's knowledge of offensive football and I know he has a great rapport with his players, which is such an important factor in championship football."

Brock will be the 3rd coach Ginn has worked under, following Tubby Raymond and K.C. Keeler. Ginn was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2008, and has also coached running backs (2002-05) and receivers (2006-07, 09-12).

Both quarterbacks who started games in 1999, Ginn and Matt Nagy, are involved in coaching. Nagy recently joined former Eagles coach Andy Reid as his quarterbacks coach in Kansas City.
