Guns and ammo stockpile seized from probation absconder

Multiple shotguns, handguns and assorted ammunition is found inside the home of a probation fugitive in Wilmington.

The New Castle County Safe Streets Task Force was searching for 23-year-old Brian Mccollum, who was wanted for four outstanding capiases and for violating his probation, Friday morning.

Mccollum was hiding from police in the basement of his home on the 400 block of Delaware Avenue in the Tuxedo Park community.

He was arrested without incident, but was in possession of a switchblade.

A search of the house turned up a 12 gauge shotgun, a 20 gauge shotgun with 33 rounds of ammunition, a .38 caliber handgun with 52 rounds, and 108 rounds of .22 caliber rifle ammo.

38-year-old Danielle Gabrielli lives with Mccollum and is a person prohibited from possessing a firearm. She was also taken into custody.
