A New Castle man is hospitalized after being attacked in a parking lot by two unknown men.

The 30-year-old victim was sitting in his parked car at the Galloway Court apartment complex early Saturday morning when two strangers approached him.

He alleges the two suspects began assaulting him -- one of which wielding a blunt object -- in an attempt to rob him.

The victim was eventually able to drive away. He was taken to Christiana Hospital for upper body injuries. He was treated and released.

Police canvassed the area searching for the two assailants but were unable to locate either of them.

The suspects are described as black males, both about 5'8" with average builds wearing black jackets. They both had their faces concealed.

New Castle County Police are asking anyone with information to call them or Crimestoppers.
