A community member's phone call alerted Wilmington police in time to halt a burglary in progress.

After getting the tip, officers entered the home on the 800 block of North Spruce Street around 9:40 Tuesday morning.

Inside they found 22-year-old Akeem Pressey and 19-year-old Avery Stewart with a pile of the homeowner's possessions.

The two suspects were arrested for 2nd degree burglary, 2nd degree conspiracy, theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief.

Each were released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
