Polar bears plunge this Sunday in Rehoboth

It's cold, but thousands of people will be running into the ocean this weekend in Rehoboth Beach.

It's the 22nd annual Special Olympics Delaware Polar Bear Plunge, and it will be WDEL's Sean Greene's TENTH plunge on Sunday. He told WDEL's Rick Jensen he can't believe he's doing it again.

"The second year I did it, it was 28 in the air with that wind, and the water was 31, and the jetties, back when you could actually see them, there was ice on the jetties, and somehow I continued to do it after that," Greene said.

There's also a 'pooch plunge' on Saturday, where your dog can plunge into a wading pool for a $25 donation to Special Olympics Delaware. Get the full list of activities by
