Man killed in car-pedestrian accident in Newark

A pedestrian was killed in an accident Monday evening on Capitol Trail in Newark.
Police say it happened near Polly Drummond Hill Road at about 6 pm.
49-year-old Timothy Coston of Wilmington was crossing from the median on Capitol Trail when he was hit by a car traveling in the right lane.
Coston was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car and a passenger were seatbelted and not hurt.
No word on charges in the accident.
