Police have now identified a man whose body was found Monday morning in Brandywine Hundred in what police are labeling a murder.

Officers were called to the 21-hundred block of Delaview Avenue for a body off the roadway at just before 8 a.m.

Police say 43-year-old Wayne Capelli lived on 4th Avenue in Claymont. He died of blunt force trauma to the upper body. They believe he was assaulted Saturday evening, and that a vehicle may have been involved.

Police are asking people in the Silvercroft community and surrounding area to check around their homes for items that may be out of place, and to take a look at their surveillance systems to see whether the assault was captured on video.

So far, no arrests in the case.
