Del. to celebrate 100th anniversary of Harriet Tubman's death

Governor Markell will present a proclamation at the Old State House for Harriet Tubman on March 1.
It will kick off, the first of ten days that are leading up to the 100th anniversary of the death of Tubman on March 10, 2013.
The ten days of events include two separate walks in Camden and relays at the Wilmington Christina Riverwalk, both of which are stops on the Underground Railroad.
Also, on March 1, DelDOT plans to unveil a plan to help preserve, enhance, and manage the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway.
