Three injured in head-on crash near Winterthur

Three people are hurt in a head-on collision on Kennett Pike in Wilmington.
County paramedics say a car collided with a pickup truck on Kennett Pike in the area of Old Gatehouse Road near Winterthur just after 5 p.m. Sunday.
The car then went off the road and hit a utility pole. Three occupants of the car were trapped and had to be cut out by firefighters. The 22-year-old driver was trapped for more than 30 minutes. He was treated at the scene for head and other injuries and was flown to Christiana Hospital. He's in critical condition.
A 25-year-old passenger is in serious condition. A 59-year-old passenger is in Christiana hospital in serious condition.
