Suspicious death in Belvedere

County police are investigating a suspicious death in the Belvedere community.
Police say officers were called to check on the welfare of a 51-year-old woman living on the 300 block of Maple Avenue around 5:00 p.m. Monday.
When they entered the home, they discovered the woman, who had died.
The victim's name is being withheld pending a positive ID and notification of family members.
The state medical examiner is working to determine a cause and manner of death.
