On Sunday, University of Delaware students and supporters packed the UD Field House to celebrate the 7th annual UDance event.
UDance is a 12-hour dance marathon that began at 11 am Sunday to 11 pm.
The marathon unites the campus community along with bringing awareness to pediatric cancer.
This year, UDance raised $551,051.61. This marks the highest donation since 2007, when the organization was first founded.
In 2007, UDance, raised $8000, which shows the growth through the years. Last year, UDance brought in $475,000.
The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation benefits from the event. The foundation supports medical research for families with children who have critical illnesses.
Trainers and other volunteers were on hand to cater to all the supporters needs. Not only was there music, club lights, and smiling faces, there was also food and drink, raffle games, and performances.
