Wilmington police are investigating the armed robbery of a 7-11 convenience store just after midnight early this morning.

It happened at around 12:15 a.m. at the 7-11 on the 500 block of Greenhill Avenue, where police say two masked men entered the store, with one of them displaying a handgun to the cashier.

Police say the men then forced the cashier to turn over an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise before they fled on foot.

Anyone with information can call Wilmington police or CrimeStoppers.
