WPD: More than 1,000 bags of heroin found in drug offender's home

A convicted drug offender faces new drug and firearm charges after Wilmington police say they found more than 1,000 bags of heroin in her home.

Police say officers executed a search warrant at the home of Zuikira Williams on the 300 block of West 4th Street around 9:10 p.m. Saturday.

After taking Williams into custody, officers discovered a revolver and the drugs. The 21 grams of heroin have an estimated value of $10,500.

Williams, who is a convicted drug offender and prohibited from owning a weapon, is behind bars at the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution.
