The Delaware State Housing Authority is on the receiving end of a big check from HUD.

The $5 million is intended to create and manage 170 units of affordable housing over five years for people with disabilities.

The Project Rental Assistance Demonstration Program helps low income disabled residents to live independently in largely mainstream settings.

DHSS will identify eligible applicants and then coordinate services and levels of need with their case workers.
