Video: A.I. duPont and Concord girls soccer highlights plus Hagerty interview

After a hard fought battle against St. Marks Tuesday night, A.I. duPont's girls soccer team traveled to Concord (1-1) to match up against Flight A foe Raiders.

Both teams entered Thursday's game undefeated early in the season, but the Tigers' offense rolled to 6-0 victory.

Jomara Andrade-Mendoza opened scoring first, when she found the open shot inside to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

A.I. continued pressure even from afar, when sophomore Megan McCormick drove in a long range goal from close to midfield right past Concord's goal keeper, Alexis Moore.

The Tigers (2-0-1) controlled play the entire game out shooting the Raiders 20-0.

Cynthia Hagerty, A.I. senior, scored one of her two goals to close out the first period. The Tigers led 3-0 into the break.

Moore tallied 14 saves for Concord, but the Raiders struggled offensively to get anything going their way.

A.I.'s Laura Gorostiza added a goal at the 44:40 mark for the Tigers and Stephanie Davis sealed the win with a goal of her own at 57:45.

After spring break, the Tigers have a difficult task as they travel to Caesar Rodney, while the Raiders will try to rebound against Hodgson.
