Newark Police are looking for a man who assaulted a University of Delaware student last night.

It happened on Haines Street by Continental Avenue. Police say the 19-year-old woman was talking on her cell phone as she was walking home from work when a man tackled her to the ground.

The victim tells police the man punched her in the side of the head multiple times and fled without taking anything from her. The student wasn't seriously.

The suspect took off in a smaller size four-door SUV that may've been maroon.
