Phillies place Lannan on DL
By Sean Greene

Phillies starter John Lannan has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left leg injury, the Phillies announce Tuesday.

Lannan, who surrendered six runs before being pulled in the 2nd inning Wednesday, has a strained quadriceps tendon in his left knee.

His rough outing Wednesday marred a solid start to the season for Charlie Manuel's number 5 starter in the rotation. He had no record despite a 2.77 ERA in a pair of quality starts where he held batters to a .177 batting average.
