UD to upgrade four sports facilities
By Don Voltz

The University of Delaware is pouring nearly $4 million into improvements to four different athletic facilities.

Getting a facelift are Bob Hannah Stadium, the school's baseball facility, with installation of artificial turf, a new scoreboard, dugouts and bullpens, a new all-weather outdoor track at the Delaware mini-stadium, artificial turf in the Delaware Field House, and total resurfacing of two natural grass soccer practice fields.

Work is also continuing on a 45,000 square foot expansion to the Carpenter Sports Building.
