Step up to home plate at Citizens Bank Park and help strike out heart disease and stroke at the 16th Annual Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs for Heart.

Ashburn's son Rich says the home run derby event raises money for the American Heart Association.

"I've had people say that they entered into this just to get the chance to hit at Citizens Bank and then they found out what it really was about," he said.

You'll be helping people like 40-year-old Derek Fitzgerald, an Iron Man competitor whose chemotherapy for cancer led to a heart transplant.

"To see people like myself, people like the other people that I've met since my transplant, that are getting out there, they're leading active lives," he said.
