A Milton man was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) evening for the possession of drugs in Wilmington.

State Police say Michael N. Lopez was driving his car and failed to signal before making a turn at the intersection of Lancaster and North Jackson Street in Wilmington.

He put his vehicle in reverse and hit the trooper's vehicle, and then drove forward hitting another police vehicle while trying to flee.

Lopez was taken into custody and police found over 34-thousand dollars worth of heroin and one gram of marijuana.

The convicted felon was committed to Howard Correctional Institution in lieu of 122-thousand dollars cash bail.
