Wilm PD: Man threw drugs from car duing chase
By Peter MacArthur

A Wilmington man faces a laundry list of charges after police say he lead them on a chase early Thursday.

Police say 41 year old Derrick Crosby of Cresson Place was pulled over on the 31 hundred block of Northeast Boulevard.

Officers spotted a bag of pot in the glove compartment and when they asked him to
get out of the vehicle, he took off.

As officers chased him, Crosby reportedly threw the drugs out of his car.

He was caught on the 26 hundred block of North Pine Street.

He faces drug and traffic counts and was sent to the Howard Young Prison in lieu of four thousand dollars bail.
