Two Wilmington residents are under arrest after police raided a hotel room in Newark as they investigated heroin sales.

Police say when they entered a room at the Day's Inn at 900 Churchmans Road they found 22 year old Amber Hoopes. They also smelled marijuana burning and spotted 21 year old Khalid Scott.

As they searched the room, officers found eleven hundred bags of heroin and a handgun.

Hoopes and Scott were both taken into custody and put behind bars in lieu of $65,000 dollars bail.

They each face numerous drug and weapons charges.
