Sandy Hook families urge Del. to stengthen gun laws
Updated Tuesday, May 7, 2013 - 4:09pm
Parents of children killed in the December mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut are urging Delaware lawmakers to pass new gun control measures.
Parents of three children killed at Sandy Hook planned have met with Gov. Markell Tuesday in Dover.
Among the measures supported by the Connecticut contingent is a bill before the state House that prohibits the manufacture, sale or unlawful possession of clips holding more than 10 bullets.
They also are urging House passage of a bill that requires gun owners to report the loss or theft of a gun to police. That bill cleared the Senate by a single vote last week.
