A.I. duPont's Cynthia Hagerty and Stephanie Davis helped lift the Tigers 2-0 over Appoquinimink in a competitive Blue Hen Flight A Conference battle on Monday night.

In the 33rd minute, Hagerty had the open shot, after a foul was called on the Jaguars, to give the Tigers the early 1-0 lead going into the half.

Appo and A.I. (8-2-1) both tallied nine shots a piece, but Appo couldn't quite connect as A.I.'s goalkeeper Anna Bradley saved them all.

Late in the second, Haley McNaulty spotted Davis with an open look down field. With the right touch, Davis snuck one by Appo's Haley Wahrhaftig.

The Tigers handed Appo their second loss of the season. Appo's only other loss was against Charter last week.

Appo (10-2) will host Senior Night against St. Mark's on Wednesday, while A.I. heads to Middletown for more Flight A action to try and extend a three game winning streak.
