Report examines deaths on the job in DE
By Peter MacArthur

A new AFL-CIO report called 'Death on the Job: The Toll of Neglect,' says ten workers lost their lives in Delaware in 2011.

The report ranks Delaware ninth in the nation in terms of fewest workplace fatalities.

It goes on to say that due to staffing shortages, it would take OSHA 183 years to inspect each Delaware workplace just one time.

The workplace illness and injury rate nationwide is 3.5 per one hundred workers, unchanged over the past two years.
