Motorists paying more at the pump

After seeing a few months of price declines, area motorists are digging deeper when fueling up.

According to AAA MidAtlantic, rising crude oil costs are a big factor in the five cent a gallon statewide increase seen last week.

Auto club spokesperson Jana Tidwell says summer gas prices are expected to be lower this year than in 2012.

The statewide average for a gallon of unleaded regular was $3.45 at week's end.
