Caesar Rodney's Alexa Faulmino scored a hat trick as the No. 3 Riders advanced in the DIAA Girls' Soccer Tournament with a 5-0 win over No. 14 St. Mark's Tuesday night at Smyrna.

The combination of Faulmino and Alexis Prillaman proved tough to stop for the Spartans, as Prillaman's cross set up a point-blank goal for Faulmino in the 5th minute, putting CR up 1-0.

After St. Mark's saw a chance to tie go just high, CR doubled their lead on a free-kick goal by Prillamin from about 25 yards out making it 2-0 13 minutes into the contest.

About 6 minutes later Faulmino snuck behind the defense ago and tipped home a crossing pass to make it 3-0 CR at intermission.

Faulmino completed her hat trick two minutes into the second half, and then Prilliman scored five minutes later to complete the scoring for CR, who will face the winner of Wednesday's Archmere vs. St. Georges game on Saturday in the 2nd round.
