Tower Hill Lacrosse advances to State Finals

Tower Hill scored 6 unanswered goals in the final 12 minutes in their 12-8 semi-final victory over Archmere Academy.

They were lead by senior captain Jenna Chodos who had 2 goals and Sophia McCoy with her goal and 3 assists.

The Hillers were dominated in the first half in time of possession, trailing 7-3 after Alissa Salvitti scored 3 goals in the opening 15 minutes for the Auks. However goals from Ellie Wakefield and Kiva Walsh narrowed the lead to just 2 at the half.

The Hillers dominated after halftime, controlling the ball most of the half and outscoring Archmere 7-1. Katheryn DeLillio and Sophia McCoy scored goals 20 seconds apart giving them their first lead since the beginning of the 1st half.

Meghan Cobb topped off the victory with a late goal following an Auk penalty with 4 minutes remaining.
Tower Hill will take on Cape Henlopen in the state championship.
