Charter alum named to World Swimming Championship team

Charter School of Wilmington Alum Andrew Gemmell is among the open water swimmers named to the U.S. team for next month's world swimming championships in Barcelona, Spain.

Sean Ryan and Jordan Wilimovsky join Gemmell and Alex Meyer on the men's roster. Former world champion Eva Fabian, Christine Jennings and Becca Mann join Haley Anderson, a silver medalist at the London Games, on the women's team for the world meet in Spain.

The U.S. open water roster for the World University Games in Kazan, Russia, next month consists of Ryan Feeley, Joey Pedraza, Emily Brunemann and Ashley Twichell.
