City man allegedly stabs neighbor

A verbal dispute in Wilmington leads to a Sunday morning stabbing.

State police say, 68-year-old Robert Jones and his 68-year-old neighbor were having a disagreement the previous night.

At 11:15 a.m, police say Jones spotted the victim hanging his clothes in the backyard and attacked him with a sharp object.

When officers arrived to the 800 block of North Adams Street, the victim was suffering from stab wounds to his chin, chest, hand, and abdomen.

The victim is listed in stable condition.

Jones is charged with assault and possession of a deadly weapon.
