Blue Rocks overcome slow start to down P-Nats
By Sean Greene

Jack Lopez's 11th inning RBI single capped off a rally that saw the Blue Rocks overcome a five-run 3rd inning from Potomac in an 8-7 Wilmington victory Friday night.

Wilmington led 3-1 after two-and-a-half innings, but reliever John Lamb surrendered two hits, three walks, and a hit batter during the bottom of the 3rd to put Potomac up 6-3.

Justin Trapp then hit a 2-run single followed by an RBI double by Daniel Mateo in the 4th which quickly tied the game.

The teams once again traded single runs in the bottom of the 4th and top of the 5th before a bullpens' duel suddenly broke out in Potomac.

Malcolm Culver pitched three innings of one-hit baseball, and Andrew Triggs struck out five during 2 perfect innings to keep Potomac off the scoreboard. Triggs ultimately earned the win to improve to 4-2.
