A provision in the state's capital budget passed last month in Dover, includes $750,000 of your dollars going to the purchase of a sports shooting range in Sussex County.

The three quarters of a million dollars represents the first payment towards the $2.25 million asking price for Owens Station.

The property includes ponds and hiking trails, in addition to a variety of ranges for sports shooting.

While no decisions have been made about the property's future, Natural Resources officials say they'll be making decisions about what to do with the land.
