Heat wave slows down trains

The extreme heat slows down train travel along the Northeast Corridor.

Amtrak says speed restrictions are in effect between Boston and Washington because internal rail temperatures have exceeded 120 degrees.

You should expect 10 to 20 minute delays.

The railroad says the heat loosened overhead power lines on the Northeast Corridor and that caused delays between Metropark and Trenton, N.J., on Wednesday afternoon
