Shooting on Clayton Street
By Michelle Provencher

Wilmington police say an argument led to gunfire Sunday afternoon.

Officers say after a 9-1-1 call, they found the victim walking on the 600 block of North Clayton Street, three blocks away from where the shooting took place.

Police say the victim was arguing with the suspect, when the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the leg.

The 30-year-old male victim was treated and released from Wilmington Hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, about five-foot-three to five-foot-five, weighing 130 to 150 pounds.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Wilmington Police or Crimestoppers.
