Morris switched from a wide receiver in 2011 to a defensive back in 2012 and paid off the coaching staff's decision by collecting a school-record four interceptions in the season opening win against East Texas Baptist, ending with six on the season, to go with eight tackles-for-loss.
Kapepula, the 2012 ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, finished with 13 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and a Division III-leading four fumble recoveries. His 120 tackles were the most by a Wesley player since Gagliardi Trophy winner Rocky Myers made 124 stops in 2014.
Morris was the only Wolverine named to the website's 2012 All-American 1st Team list after Wesley made it to the South Region Championship game before losing to Mary Hardin-Baylor of Texas. Kapeula was a 2nd team choice.
Wesley's schedule, which promises to be one of the toughest in the country, features three other All-American selections in the first three weeks. The season opening Friday night home game against No. 20 Widener will feature 1st Team wide receiver Anthony Davis, the week 2 "Route 13 Rivalry" will showcase No. 16 Salisbury's 2nd Team cornerback Andre Carter, while Wesley's trip to No. 3 Mary Hardin-Baylor sets up a battle with 2nd team defensive tackle Silvio Diaz.
WDEL once again will be your home for Wesley College Football, beginning with the September 6th battle with Widener at Miller Stadium.
