Gov. Markell delivers his weekly address/YouTube screenshot.
In his latest weekly address, Gov. Markell spoke about a recent purchase by a Korean company in Delaware and what he hopes it can bring to the agriculture business in the First State.

Markell says South Korean company Allen Harim's intention to purchase of the former Pinnacle Foods pickle plant in Millsboro, could help employ an estimated 700 people in poultry operations.

That's good news he says, since many younger Delawareans are learning about agriculture.

"We're happy to see interest among so many of our young people in planting, weeding and harvesting--learning botany, biology, and soil sciences along the way," Markell says. "In our global economy, it's critical that all Delawareans have opportunities to build connections with the international community."
