I.D. for body spotted in Christina River
By Peter MacArthur

Wilmington Police have identified a body pulled out of the Christina River over the weekend.

Saturday morning, a body was spotted by some rowers in the water near the 600 block of South Justison Street.

The discovery came following a report last Thursday that a man had been seen entering the water, but at the time he couldn't be located.

Police say the dead man is 27 year old Bertram Downes of New Castle.

No foul play is suspected.
