Borsello opened with a birdie on the par-4 opening hole, and followed that with back-to-back birdies at the 6th and 7th. Despite bogeying the 3rd hole he was 2-under on the turn. A streak of seven straight pars ended with a 3 on the par-4 15th, but a double bogey on 17th brought him closer to the pack as he finished at 1-under 70.
Charles McDowell shot a blistering 4-under 32 on the front 9, including four birdies, but his fortunes turned on the back-nine with three bogeys and a double-bogey pushing him to a 1-over 72, still good enough for second place.
Tom Humphrey's 2-over 73 has him in sole possession of 3rd place in the tournament which wraps up with its final round Tuesday.
