State troopers are looking for the man who stole an electric guitar from a Dover music store.

The shoplifting occurred around 5:53 p.m. on Aug. 14 at Earle Teat Music at 3098 N. DuPont Highway.

Police say a man grabbed a Gibson electric guitar from a wall while a store employee was tending to another customer and fled the store. The instrument is worth $1,500.

A front door alarm went off but when the employee ran to the door, he saw the man fleeing in a white SUV on northbound U.S. 13.

The suspect is described as being between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a large build and wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect can call Det. P. Surowiec at 302-741-2814 Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
