The community meeting at Newark High School is a chance for parents to ask questions about the disturbing allegations against Scott Bicking, co-owner of the Pond, who was arrested Friday on charges he inappropriately touched two boys at the indoor ice rink.

The meeting comes at the request of parents.

"The facility there is a very busy facility. There's a number of children in and out of that facility on a daily basis, we have received a number of calls wanting some information about the incident," says Lieutenant Mark Farrall with Newark Police.

"We're going to have professionals available to offer tools and techniques on how to speak with their children regarding this incident," says Farrall.

Farrall says right now they don't have a reason to believe there are more victims, but they're prepared.

"It's our hope that we won't have any additional victims from this incident; however, we will be providing resources, warning signs to watch for in their children," he says.

In addition to warning signs and how to talk to your child about something like this, they'll offer precautions parents can take to ensure their children's safety.

"Encourage them not to be alone with individuals that they don't know well," recommends Farrall.

He says, at this time, they have no reason to believe anyone else, other than Bicking, was responsible for these incidents.

Present at Tuesday's meeting at Newark High School will be Newark Police, representatives from the Delaware Department of Justice, the Child Advocacy Center, and the Delaware Ducks Unlimited ice hockey organization. The meeting runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
