By Mark Fowser

Young people interested in a career in law enforcement can find out more about training and educational opportunities tonight.

Delaware State Police are hosting open houses for its Explorer program, which offers training in techniques such as fingerprinting, evidence collection and patrol procedures.

High school and college students are eligible for the program.

Open houses begin Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Troop 5 in Bridgeville and the Delaware State Police Academy.

Additional open houses will be held in the coming weeks, including this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Sussex Central High School and September 24th at the Lewes Senior Center.
