Worker injured in fall from Delaware Memorial Bridge

A worker painting the Delaware Memorial Bridge is rescued after falling from the span Saturday morning.

Julio Rivera of Newark, NJ was injured when he fell and was trapped on the catwalk.

Crews from several fire fire and EMS companies were able to effect the rescue.

Rivera was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment of injuries to his wrist, arm and abdomen.
